tagalog translation?
I am trying to learn tagalog and a couple of other languages, but I do not understand some of the shorthand in chat. Please tell me what this means: pwde ko ba malaman ano cp num m. para mg mit dn tau

I asked my neighbor to translate it. She said, it means something like this:
May I please know what your cellular phone number is, so that i could use it to keep in touch with you?
The message was not only written in Tagalog. It was written in Tagalog mobile phone slang.
The meanings given by a previous respondent are correct.
"pwde ko ba malaman ano cp num m. para mg mit dn tau"
Tagalog: Pwede ko ba malaman ano cellphone number mo? Para mag-meet din tayo
English translation: Can (or Could) I have your cellphone number? So we could meet.
There is often no clear-cut way of translating Tagalog to Filipino. The syntax is different and the use of nouns, pronouns, verbs, etc. are subject to different rules as compared to the english language.
