that has a bad meaning.
AY NAKU (An expression which is taken from Hay Anak Ko =Oh My Son) So in English threfore, this is OH MY
WALA means NOTHING
E is an emphasis and has no English counterpart.
ISA means ONE. But there is a need to add NG because their is following word.
DAKILA is a positive word but can mean SUCH A for a sarcastic emphasis.
PAL would of course mean FRIEND but since the expression sounds negative, this would mean our slang for someone being a BURDEN (palamunin and PAL for short.)
Therefore, that means OH MY, NOTHING, SUCH A BURDEN…
PAL means palamunin… which means someone like a bum, staying at someone else’s house and eating their food.
was the question "do you have a job?"
the translation can be like this….
oh no! i don’t have one. i’m a just a noble bum.
ay nako is an expression.
wala means none.
i’m not sure about dakila… majestic? noble? we use dakila for heroes.
and i explained PAL already.
the statement is sarcastic.
palamunin.. not Philippine Airlines its like "You’re such a burden" something like that
By reading the statement, I would say you were asked what your role is to this person and you answered "oh well, nobody… just a friend she could lean on"
"ay naku" is an expression
"wala" = none
"isa" = one, but I used an article "a" to denote singularity
"dakila" = heroic
pal is a synonym for a friend or acquaintance
huh??!!??!!??
pal means palamunin. really? i’ve never heard of that! i’m going to ask my parents if they know this…TRIVIA! hehehe….
maybe u ask him/her what he/she do, am i right? he/she answered u that hes nothing to do. no work no job. "PAL" means palamunin not Phil Airlinines. palamunin means until now hes still supported by his parents that it guy! byeee….
