I don't speak much tagalog, but I'm learning. Last year I recorded "Buong Buhay Ko" by learning it phonetically... my filipino friends said I did pretty well. Now I'd like to learn another especially for my gf, so I can sing it to her when I visit the philz this Fall.. Does anyone have a suggestion for a song that expresses my appreciation of her? I don't want anything too deep (we're in a new relationship.. I don't want to scare her by saying anything too emo.. lolz). I'd also hope to find printed lyrics and a translation, so any help is appreciated!

Im writing her a letter in english.Whats a clever heading for it in tagalog and its translation?any ideas are welcome thanks......

hey i'm just getting the basics down of tagalog and i'm wondering what verbs are most commonly used in everyday talk. please show me some verbs in tagalog and their english translation. thank you!
pinoy pride!

I am doing IB Self-Taugh (Filipino) And I need to find the translation versions of these books.
But I can't seem to find any. It would be easier if I'd have the title and author.

1. Kitchen-Banana Yoshimoto
2. Of Mice And Men- John Steinback
3. The Old Man And The Sea- Ernest Hemmingway

I mean English Translation not Filipino.. sorry about that.
What is the English translation of these following words,
1. Utang na Loob
2. Pabulain
Help please..

What is the translation to tagalog? I would be writing to 3 of my female cousins....

Thanks!

Hi,
I'm trying to translate the following into filipino language.
"I know about your girlfriend. I also know you are not serious about her and you are just playing around. Leave her if you truly don't love her so someone else can make her happy."
Here is what I got on google translate:
"Alam ko ang tungkol sa iyong girlfriend. Ko rin alam ikaw ay hindi malubhang tungkol sa kanya. ikaw ay lamang ng paglalaro sa paligid. Iwanan ang kanyang kung tunay na hindi siya mahal kaya ng ibang tao ay maaaring gumawa ng kanyang masaya. "

Is the translation correct? I know sometimes online translators are not very accurate or sound overly formal.

I think the girl i like is dating an a-hole who is married and that he is making false promises and lying to her, just need to be sure without anyone knowing I got involved so I can stop worrying.
Thanks :)

Just watched Wowowee, and someone in the audience had this line for motto. Could you translate to Pilipino, using your deep command of English, just what the heck it meant? Pokwang's translation was kinda hurried, I think. "Ang wakas ay bukas, ngunit ang wakas ng mundo ay nasa labas", or something like that. I think that if she had more time, she could have given justice and more meaning to the translation. And was this an original, or someone else quoted it before the show?

Could it be that the original who quoted it, had seen the movie "2012" (stars John Cussack) with his girlfriend, and got "basted" right outside the moviehouse, just because he did not buy popcorn for his girl?

My mom translated it to: Kung may madilim na kahapon may magandang kinabukasan. I trust my moms translation but I just want to see if that's the closest translation to the actual quote. I also wanted to get it written in the tagalog script but I noticed some letters aren't in the alphabet so I don't know if it could be translated. Thanks

i need to make this story about saint mark in my filipino class and i dont know what is the filipino translation for saint mark

I have an English language gaming website that has become popular in the Philippines. Google says a lot of people that speak Tagalog are searching my site. The website is http://www.casualgameguides.com

a friend post this on my facebook wall and i want to know what its translation

ambot lang sa imo oist, unsaon na lng

Please can someone translate into english these following 10 sentences? It's from a friend's essay. It's a long story as to why I need the translation, but if someone who is fluent in tagalog/filipino could please do so, I will love you forever!!

Hi, later this year I will be a proud best man for my Wife's brother's wedding in the Philippines (Mindanao). Unfortunately, being British and from the UK, I know and speak next-to-no Tagalog or Visayan! I'm not going to let that put me off though and so I now need help from any budding Philippine jokers (or jokesses?) out there!
If anyone knows any suitable wedding jokes to amuse the guests, I would be very grateful to recieve them! It would be best if you could post both the joke and it's english translation if possible. Family jokes and wedding jokes would all be very much appreciated! Many thanks for any responses! I look forward to laughing at your bestlines! Tony.

I'm Filipino, but don't know Tagalog. Most of my Filipino friends know Tagalog, but sometimes I have no idea what they're talking about. They try to teach me verbally, but it is tough for me to learn that way. I'm much better at learning when it comes to reading information.
Do you happen to know any websites where you can learn this language for FREE? Websites that just have the word and the English translation? I already know 2 websites, Tagaloglang.com (so far my favorite :D ) and 101languages.net.

I don't want the English Translation... I can already speak fluent Tagalog but I want the lyrics in Tagalog so it'll be more easier to sing along to this awesome song. <3

I can't seem to find it in google so if you know the lyrics and write it on here, auto 10 points for best answer. :3

mayroong ko TFC, TFC subscriber ako ehh. Anyways, I don't always understand all the tagalog words, naintindihan ko maraming magsalita, pero, I cannot catch all of it. I always watch this one telenovela with anne curtis and Sam Milby, Natatawa ako si Sam ksi he is an english speaker and when he speaks in tagalog, it sort of reminds me of myself. It doesn't right, but I think I can speak it without having that american accent, napapraktis ako so hindi naman marinig akong accent. I wish TFC had english captions, cuz that would help tremendously. Nanood ako ng GMA na rin. HAY SUS Mariosep, mahirap naman magintindihan, ang balis naman nakausap. Its hard to catch everything. anyways, does it help if i watch the show and then keep asking for the translation of the words? I sound desparate, cuz i am, i need help talaga. Natatakot ko, when I return back to pinas, I cant speak tagalog yet. wawa naman ako. I want to speak tagalog talaga. and understand everything. I need to bond with my relatives
To let you guys know, im 23, and I dont live with my parents, so please dont tell me to practice with my parents.
no, my parents spoke to me in inglish and tagalog, I think most of the time it was english?? EWAN, basta, somehow I didn't pick it up. It's the same with my fil-am friends, they didn't pick up the language like me even though they were rasied in a traditional filipino home. But gusto ko magtuto.

I need a translation from filipino to english for the song ili ili Tulog Anay - (version by Pauleen Luna)
Here's a link to the song:

http://www.lyrics5.com/videos.html?vid=5NEVv2dcgTQ

Can anyone translate it? Please!

I write a lot of poetry in English and would really like to write something poetic & romantic in Tagalog for my girlfriend in PH. I've been trying to do it using translators online however I'm certain the intended message is lost or obscured in translation. I know this is something she would really appreciate so I'm determined to achieve it for her.

I'm hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction. My poetic message must be in my own words from my own heart because my feelings for her are real ...so I have no desire to send her something someone else has written. I'm sure everyone would understand why that is so important.
:)

Thankyou in advance,

Kev

"Love is ...so many wonderful things and all those wonderful things are my babygirl!"
The poem I wrote for my Love is below. I ask that no one takes my words for their own. For these words are my feelings for my Love and as such too precious to be stolen. Right?

I've tried to translate the poem to tagalog but it just feels as though much is lost in the way I translate. Help would be most appreciated. Thankyou very much for the help so far too Beachbum and ragdefen...

------------------------
When first I saw your smile I loved the way you smiled.
When first I read about the things you do I admired you.
When first we talked I respected the way you spoke.
When first you laughed I had to laugh with you.
When first you cried I wanted to hug you.
When first you smiled AT me I melted...
and ever since I have wanted for you to smile because of me!

Now I still admire you
Now I still respect you
Now I still laugh with you
Now I still want to hug you
But now you DO smile because of me
And I smile because of YOU!
------------------------
My apologies for the late edit.

The first line of the second verse should be added as such:

Now you still smile

[and then continue with the existing verse]

Thankyou again. I do appreciate this very much. :-)

Could someone help me say something like "I love your daughter. I ask for your blessing for her hand in marriage." I am open to other suggestions for translation purposes. Also, pronunciation help would be great! (I am not Filipino and can't speak Tagalog at all)

please be accurate you guys!
I know there won't be a direct translation, but give has close as possible

english plural to Tagalog plural translation

Could you help me, I honestly dont speak a word and my school is international, but they just don't know how to teach foreigners, it's pretty insane.

And akin magiging kabiyok ng buhay ay isang binatang puti, binatang sibol sa kanluran. Magundat pulot-gata sa bibig ng isang munolong kaibigan.

Im sorry if some of the words are misspelled or so. What the instructions are is that I need to choose any word and find its synonim. So could you please help me out?? Thanks!!

I appreciate it so much.
Ok, im sorry.. I can't quite understand what it says in this paper either.
I dont need the translation, I need the synonim.
