Pinatutula Ako

Iyong hinihiling, lira ay tugtugin
bagaman sira na't laon nang naumid
ayaw nang tumipa ang nagtampong bagting
pati aking Musa ay nagtago narin.

malungkot na nota ang nasnaw na himig
waring hinuhugot dusa at hinagpis
at ang alingawngaw ay umaaliwiw
sa sarili na ring puso at damdamin.
kaya nga't sa gitna niring aking hapis
yaring kalul'wa ko'y parang namamanhid.
Nagkapanahon nga ... kaipala'y, tunay
ang mga araw na matuling nagdaan
nang ako sa akong Musa'y napamahal
lagi na sa akin, ngiti'y nakalaan.

ngunit marami nang lumipas na araw
sa aking damdamin alaala'y naiwan
katulad ng saya at kaligayahan
kapag dumaan na'y may hiwagang taglay
na mga awiting animo'y lumulutang
sa aking gunitang malabo, malamlam.
Katulad ko'y binhing binunot na tanim
sa nilagakan kong Silangang lupain
pawang lahat-lahat ay kagiliw-giliw
manirahan doo'y sayang walang maliw.

ang bayan kong ito, na lubhang marikit
sa diwa't puso ko'y hindi mawawaglit
ibong malalaya, nangagsisiawit
mulang kabundukan, lagaslas ng tubig
ang halik ng dagat sa buhangin mandin
lahat ng ito'y, hindi magmamaliw.
Nang ako'y musmos pa'y aking natutuhang
masayang batiin ang sikat ng araw
habang sa diwa ko'y waring naglalatang
silakbo ng isang kumukulong bulkan.

laon nang makata, kaya't ako nama'y
laging nagnanais na aking tawagan
sa diwa at tula, hanging nagduruyan:
"Ikalat mo lamang ang kanyang pangalan,
angking kabantugan ay ipaghiyawan
mataas, mababa'y, hayaang magpisan".

AKO AY PILIPINO SA ISIP AT SA GAWA
NGUNIT BAKIT MGA PINUNO PURO LAMANG SALITA
ISANG GOBYERNO NA KAYANG SIKMURAIN AT MAGTAWANAN
MAY PAMILYANG KUMAKAIN NA KULANG SA DALAWANG
BESES SA ISANG ARAW MINSAN WALA PANG PANG LUGAW
BAKIT GANITO KABABAW ISANG PAGKAING NILANGAW
ANG DADAMPUTIN AT KAKAININ NG BATANG GUTOM
ALAM BA NG MGA HUSGADO AT LAHAT NG HUKOM

thanks in advance ...

Have you ever found a Chinese trying to learn Mandarin or Fookien language? Even if so they are in the US or any where in the world for that matter. All Chinese knows their language esp. their own culture and tradition. In every Chinese movies I had seen they portrait that every Chinese from the time they were small and to the time of their adulthood must realize that they are Chinese esp. this Chinese character letter writing, it is in the stroke of the fingers that made every letters astonishing. If I am a Chinese I would be more proud being Chinese than Filipino. Don't you think? The Chinese are the first OFW for me that is, because they are the very first Asian who made it to California and work for the rail way station in the US in 18th century. Do you think meron ng Pinoy nun 18th century working for the US rail station? There is a program in TFC that is "Filipino ka, sabihin mo" portion that teaches Filipino overseas who doesn't speak Tagalog words, and they call it PILIPINO TIME. Like shy is torpe, cloud is ulap so on and so forth. Parang natuturo sa mga elementary pupils for Filipino class. Do we have to be like this? I mean let us assume one is born and raise in the US bakit hindi sya marunong kahit katiting na Pilipino language, isn't this odd. One of the parents is a pinoy so what is the problem there? If both parents are German I guess Pilipino language is out of the question or mayayabang lang talaga ang pinoy sa US at laging spokening in dollars ang gusto at pag nag Tagalog they want everybody to listen to their pronounciation. What a crap. Kaya nga tanong ko uli, meron ka na bang nakita or nakilalang Chinese who cannot speak Mandarin or Fookien? Ako wala kayo kaya meron?

We just came up with the discussion a few weeks back about Filipinos who have mixed marriages with foreign individuals and is now residing in the US to call themselves hypothetically Filipinos or Pinoys for that matter. According to the Philippine constitution, those who are natural born citizen of the Philippines are the Filipinos. Iyon mga pinanganak sa ating bansa, so now is the question what about those who were born outside the Philippines yet have either one or both parents to be a US citizen? Are they still Filipinos just because one of their parents is a Filipino? That is the problem with our culture, we are loosing it. Some of the people here in the forum are in the US at the moment and probably born there, that is why speaking Tagalog or Pilipino language is too hard for them, like slang slang na Tag-galog. Their skin is fair and white, their looks doesn't resemble a Filipino looks because they have mixed blood already. And we call them Pinoys? Even Jose Rizal is not Filipino by blood, according to history books he has Chinese ancestors. Yet he speaks 7 languages and his native tongue is of course, Spanish, yet we call him the great Filipino hero. Ang gulo. Sino nga bang matatawag na Pinoys at this age & time? This is the disaster of our early ancestors, if only MLQ didn't requested for the Philippines independence from the US after the second world war probably we are still a part or province of the US. Well most Filipinos are in the US if you do not know, New York, Seattle, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Chicago etc...so their life is better off than those Filipinos not in the US at the moment. Those Filipinos in the Middle East and in Saudi who work as domestice helper and living like slave to an Arab families who eventually end up being rape or worst being killed by their employer. A thousand cases every year. If we are a State of the US would anybody come to Saudi or Dubai for that matter? None I suppose.

alam ko mga bagay-bagay ay naiiba ngayon. Kami ay may upang manatili strong sa gayon ito ay gumagana out. alam ko ito ay isang long distance relasyon. Umaasa ako sa iyo tunay na want ito. Dahil kukunin ko na gawin upang gumawa ng gawaing ito. Anumang bagay.

Someone sent me this in a text but I don't know what it says:

I really appreciate if anybody from the Philippine can help me to translate the tagalog language into english...

Hindi ako umaasa na kami in the end. Minsan, doubt ako sa kanya pero pag tinimbang ko naman yung mga ginawa nya just to see me mukha naman seryoso nga saka hindi bastos both in words and in action.

Mabuhay!, Maayong adlaw kaninyo mga igsoon ko! I lived in the Philippines particularly in Davao. I'm a Filipino and I just want to know who are Filipinos in the Yahoo!Answer. And I also want to learn other languages. Can you teach me?

Can you help me by translating this song? It's by Suagrfree and it's called Makita Kang Muli aka the theme song of Panday. I know if I watched it I SHOULD know it but i got my family to translate.

Refrain: 1
Bawat sandali ng / aking buhay
Pagmamahal mo / ang aking taglay
San man mapadpad ng hanging
Hindi / magbabago aking pagtingin

Bridge:
Pangako natin /sa Maykapal
Na tayo lamang sa habang buhay /
Maghintay..

Chorus:
Ipaglalaban ko ang ating pagibig
Maghintay ka lamang ako’y darating
Pagkat sa isang taong mahal mo
Ng buong puso
Lahat ay gagawin
Makita kang muli, Makita kang muli,
Makita kang muli..

Refrain: 2
Puso’y nagdurusa, nangungulila
Iniisip ka pag nagiisa
Inaalala mga sandali
Nang tayo ay magkapiling
Ikaw ang gabay sa akin tuwina
Ang aking ilaw sa gabing mapanglaw
Tanging ikaw..

Chorus:
Ipaglalaban ko ang ating pagibig
Maghintay ka lamang ako’y darating
Pagkat sa isang taong mahal mo
Ng buong puso
Lahat ay gagawin
Makita kang muli, Makita kang muli,
Makita kang mul

I just notice since few days ago that there are too many new accounts like mine who are asking almost the same questions every day. So let's see if these answerers and askers can translate this into English or their own language/ dialect.. I hope

"Kapag wala ang pusa naglalaro ang mga daga."

and

"Bato-bato sa langit, ang tamaan 'wag magagalit."

Thanks!

What is the english translation of these tagalog messages:

Will the language people speak sound like this in a decade:
