How do you say, 'Hello! Thanks for being my friend!' in Filipino? My friend is from Filipino and I think it would amaze her if I were to say this to her in her language, since she has worked so hard to speak in my language, I should do the same. Any answers? <33

I've been trying to learn to speak some tagalog. The whole story behind it is too much, but I'm trying to say something...I'm trying to memorize words and such but I'm not sure if this is correct. "Ikaw ang ibig sabihin ng lahat ng bagay sa akin." Can someone tell me what that means? I just want to make sure its correct. My friend told me to try a translator, but sometimes translators online are wrong. Please and thank you<3

so my ex wrote this

kung dito na ang hangganan..dapat cguro iwasan ang mga minsang kamustahan. Mga nakasanayan dapat ng kalimutan...upang di tayo magkasakitan. Hanggang dito na lang </3

i have no idea what it means. all i know is that its written in tagalog. can someone help me translate to english? thanks

Tagalog is the most common Filipino dialect. It's sort of ironic how i'm filipino myself, and i don't even know how to speak it fluently! XD (i totally understand it COMPLETELY, though...)
so anyways, if you guys could tell me versions of the casual and formal ways to say this phrase, that'd be awesome. Salamat Po! (thank you) <--see, i know SOME of the language...;]
Luv ya'll! :D
<3, bellaaahhhFUNt (:

pahirapan <------
whats that mean??

it's my first time using Google Chrome and its language is in Filipino. My brother downloaded it and all (we're partly Filipinos btw ♥) but he doesn't know how to change the language. So yeah, how do i change it? We can understand Filipino pretty much but with everything that's written in Filipino--it drives us crazy! Thank you very much and God bless you! >:D<

I don't want the English Translation... I can already speak fluent Tagalog but I want the lyrics in Tagalog so it'll be more easier to sing along to this awesome song. <3

I can't seem to find it in google so if you know the lyrics and write it on here, auto 10 points for best answer. :3

Need help! getting tiresome of being looked at like a dollar sign cause being unable to speak tagalog already know quite a few bad words and such so if its towards me or around i know what they mean but the rest is way to hard...translators online are horrible and not really reliable per-say and waray-waray speaking is making it harder to learn learning more expressions and such from the main base language but not the dialect language >.>

With the whole emphasizing the "r" heavily in waray but tagalog dont see any of that one bit any kind of help is needed! Very determined to be semi fluent or try to be fluent in tagalog! >.<

Hi! I would like to learn tagalog. I am filipino, but ever since I was born, my parents spoke to me in english. I know that they should try to talk to me in tagalog,(they know that I want them to talk to me in tagalog so it could help me) but when they talk to me in tagalog, I get so confused! I've searched the web for 'lessons' and stuff, but seeing the translations in 'words' doesn't help much... Books don't help either. So I've seen the Rosetta Stone commercial like a bazillion times and I'm pretty interested in it. (From the commercial, it looks like it really helps...with the pictures and all...its pretty neat!) But its so expensive!!! >.< So could anyone recommend something similar to Rosetta Stone (much cheaper though) or any websites that helped you at all learn tagalog?

How would say this beautiful passage in Pilipino? Please feel free to be as soulfully poetic as you can. Thank you...

On Bended Knees: Certain thoughts are prayers. There are moments when, whatever the attitude of the body, the soul is on its knees. - Victor Hugo

De Rodillas: Algunos pensamientos son oraciones. Hay momentos en que, sin importar la actitud del cuerpo, el alma esta de rodillas. <Spanish translation mine>
first sentence should read: How would you say....

gabay takan enaroen ya maong balet masakbay ne. man kabat tanen maong.. <<<translate mo yan

Hiya! Okay, imma filipino, born in Australia, and the weird thing is that i can understand tagalog all the time.....but i can't speak it...... well not fluently anyways. =_= Is this normal? Or am i just weird? ;p
I'm trying to learn how to speak tagalog fluently, but i cant get the accent right.... >.< Any advice on how to improve?
Much appreciated ^_^

I wanna polish my Filipino grammar and build my Filipino vocabulary (because it's a shame naman that I don't speak my native tongue fluently). i'm fil-chi but I'm more fluent in English >.< I was wondering, what books could help me do that? I was thinking: books by Efren Abueg, Edgardo M. Reyes (those are the authors in my HS third year textbooks)..but I can't find them anymore anywhere!

I tried reading Bob Ong's MACARTHUR but it wasn't my thing...so I guess that rules him out.

Ayaw ko rin ng local/native setting. Those settings really depress me! It's very hard to choose Filipino books...because majority of 'em are set in native provinces... I want to read a Filipino book that I could relate to.

And I also DO NOT like the romance books they sell in National Bookstore! (Yung Filipino version ng Mills and Boon!)

Of course, Eli Fili and Noli are out of the question! (Truth is, masyadong malalim yung Tagalog dun para sa akin)
btw, in case it helps, i'm currently 16.

We have a debate in school about my question. My classmates chose negative so even if I chose positive, It will still be negative, so i chose negative. Please answer and thank you.
It has to be a fact.
I am in the Philippines.><
I need many answers so we will win the debate.

I see that in sites about the Philippines, they use Pilipino, but my family and everyone from the Philippines speaks Tagalog. Is Pilipino reffering to all the languages and dialects of the Philippines?
