i was born in the philippines but then moved to the states for most of my life and now i cam back here and i want to learn to speak fluent tagalog. i can understand and speak only a little bit.... mostly anything without prefixes. when i try to learn, i always get discouraged because there are so many prefixes and tenses for a single word.... example what is the meaning of this

taka- wonder
magtaka-?
nagtaka-?
magtataka-?
nagtataka-?
pagtaka-?
nakakapagtaka-?

when do i use them in a sentace and how?! thanks

Im planning to learn japanese in high school and I was wondering what kind of jobs I could get into if I know how to speak japanese. Would I be able to do jobs in the medical field ? And I already know how to speak Tagalog (philippines), a little bit of Spanish, and English.

I am currently learning Japanese. I have a very close friend of mine who speaks Tagalog. Tagalog is on my list of languages to learn in the future but sometimes I feel like there are things I would like to share with him right away that I can't say in English (not bad things just things between friend's privacy). I want to learn to speak the language sooner but I have concerns that learning both at the same time will completely throw me off. Is it doable or am I biting off more than I can chew? If it helps I am decent in spanish. I remember most of the basic conversation and I know Tagalog involves a little bit of spanish.

Could someone teach me the basics of tagalog or a website that i can learn it easily for free? I'm a filipina born in the united states so the only language i know is english and a little bit of Japanese....My parents were born in the philipines and speak tagalog and another language from there.
They speak tagalog often when they're talking to eachother and they speak fluent english, so i understand a little bit of what they're saying. I want to actually learn the basics of the language so i may understand and "surprise" them by speaking some tagalog myself.
I live in washington state so basicly the only language i need to speak is english, but this is a self interest thing...
I want something easy to understand and learn for a preteen (i'm 12)...
I'm focusing more on learning Japanese though..//_-'
Thanks!

I understand a little bit of it, but when my mom takes me to the Philippines, I want to go around to modeling agencies over there. I wouldn't be going for acting, because I know you have to speak tagalog. But for example, in France, American models don't speak French, so in the Philippines do American models have to speak Tagalog, or is English also spoken in the agencies?

Can you name 'em?

I can speak:
-Bisaya.
-Tagalog.
-English.
-French.
-a little bit of Spanish.
(:

Okay so like I might move to the Philippines for the first time and go to school there ( sadly I won't have a summer vacation. Hehe.) but like I don't know that much tagalog i mean i can understand it and stuff but I can't really speak it. I can talk Tagalog a little bit but not as much. I guess thats what you get when you're born in america. hahah. but like can you guys help me find a site or tutor me please. I'm up for anything. But I think a website is more helpful cause then sometimes people can be fake and they're not who you think they are. So please help me. Please?

I've been living in Hawaii for 12 years now.I am fluent in speaking Ilocano and I can understand a little bit of Tagalog.I am mostly Filipino and have a bit of Spanish blood.I am also planning on attending a college in the Philippines. What is your opinion on learning Tagalog?
What I hate about the language is that my family and relatives always use it when they're talking about me.

i'm getting married soon and i would like to learn a little bit.
is there a link online?

I understand most of the tagalog lanuage and I can speak a little bit of it, but I want to be fluent with the language within a year, what kinda of software is available for me that will get me to reach my goal?
