what is "utang na loob" in English term?
and what is "words of wisdom" if translated into Filipino language?
Ive been trying to learn how to speak tagalog recently and find the words sort of easy to remember, but am having a hard time figuring out how to put it all into a sentence.
Spanish is backwards and so Is Japanese right? Tagalog is weird like everything is mixed up everywhere. How is someone suppose to form a complete sentence?
I asked this filipino girl once how do you say "Hey you, let's go shopping." She responded but I dont remember the exact tagalog words she used except when I translated it to english it came out like this: "Go we to mall."
I watched the movie "My Big Love."
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1132472/
There is a lot of english dialouge but not alone. Its mixed in with the tagalog, and am wondering why? Why do they mix filipino language with english?
it means... your language, the Filipino language and the language of the world are important... kindly please answer it in Filipino language...
I am asking because of the majority of Filipino's I come across tell me this. I also have a Filipino friend who says that Tagalog (a Filipino language) is very much like Spanish. She also informed me that majority of Filipinos have Spanish blood including herself and she looks pure Malay (asian) to me. Have others noticed this also and what do the majority of Filipinos identify as Hispanic or Asian?
Where I can find that website translated Filipino language to the English ?and thank you very much if you help me

Am sick of getting used to English language alone. Any tips?

Read: I'm not a foreigner. I just got used to the English language, kaya mas nahihirapan ako mag-Tagalog ng maigi. I'm doing this for the sake of my Filipino college subject as well as for other means of communication.

I love you Mom.
NO matter what argument we have.
You are the best amd that is always true.
Without you, I wouldn't be the person I am...
Without you, I would've had no life.
You make my life special.
You loved me and I loved you.
And forever we will love.

I have a cousin who grew up in the philippines till he was 9 years old. He went to school there, had friends and learned the filipino language very fluently. When he was 9 years old, he went back to germany with his parents. He's now 17 years old and he says he forgot the language! when he visited the philippines again, he didn't speak a word of the phil language coz he says he forgot it! He was a very fluently speaker when he was a kid, how can he forget? Did he actually forget the language or is he just lying and pretending he forgot it?
I've always been fascinated by the cultures of our archipelago. My dad is from Mindanao, speaking the Mindanao dialect of Bisaya, and my mom is from Palawan, speaking Cuyunin. I'm also a student of political science, mainly interested in Philippine politics, and I find the imposition of Tagalog as the national Filipino language absurd. This is not to say that I think Bisaya ought to be the national language; I just feel that the national tongue ought to know how to speak all or at least most of the languages spoken in the territory concerned.
I love languages and learn them really quickly. It'd be great if you guys can refer me to a tutor (preferably not expensive) or at least to books I can study
Thanks! ![]()

That's all wrong, says the person who sent it to me...
I'm a Japanese man currently going to UC San Diego. And I have a very pretty girlfriend back home in Japan. Many filipino girls at school are trying to date me and I do not find them attractive but I don't know what to do?
Does anyone know how to say "I'm interested. Sorry!" in filipino language so I will seem more sincere?

my mom grew up speaking tagalog (a dialect of the filipino language--she can still speak it), but speaks english now (fluently and almost without an accent). i asked her one day if she thought in tagalog, and she realized that she did. i'm wondering if this is the same for the majority of people who grow up speaking a language other than english.

Tagalog is the Filipino language correct? Why do they use the same word in "barong tagalog" which is a light shirt?
If possible the language used is in Filipino language
Have you heard some italians talk? They talk real fast and sometimes it sounds funny. It is almost as syllabic as Japanese. But Japanese and Korean languages(all the altaic ones) get mistaken for a cantonese/viet/filipino language and accent.
Why do the english make fun of italians when their language is based in latin?
I would like to know how to say I love you in the Filipino language. Is it called Filipino? Or do you have a word for the language you speak.
To Mr. Trivia: Hey, and thanks. I don't want to make you into my personal translator, but how do you say "Cherish this moment" in Tagalog. Thanks much.
MY LITTLE SISTER IS MOVING TO CALIFORNIA WITH ME SOON. SHE LIVES IN MANILA RIGHT NOW AND SHE SPEAKS FILIPINO AND JUST A LITTLE ENGLISH. I WOULD LIKE TO GET HER SOME COMPUTER SOFTWARE THAT WILL HELP HER LEARN ENGLISH. I HAVE HEARD OF ROSETTA STONE BUT I AM NOT SURE IF IT TEACHES FROM THE FILIPINO LANGUAGE INTO ENGLISH. I'M SURE THERE ARE OTHER PROGRAMS OUT THERE AS WELL. WHICH ONE IS BEST? SHE IS A TEENAGER. SOMETHING THAT STARTS AT A VERY BEGINNER LEVEL WOULD BE GREAT AND ALSO HAS AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL FOR THE FUTURE. I ONLY SPEAK ENGLISH SO SOMETHING THAT'S NOT TOO HARD FOR ME TO HELP HER ALONG WITH IT AS WELL WOULD ALSO BE NICE. I CAN'T WAIT TO WELCOME HER HOME WITH ME AND THE REST OF OUR FAMILY BUT I NEED TO MAKE SURE SHE CAN ATTEND SCHOOL OUT HERE WITH NO LANGUAGE BARRIERS. PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU KNOW OF ANYTHING THAT WOULD BE USEFUL IN MY SITUATION. I WAS ALSO THINKING OF HIRING A FILIPINO SPEAKING PERSON TO COME ASSIST HER HERE AT OUR HOME MAYBE ONCE A WEEK TO GET HER THROUGH THIS PROCESS. SO IF YOU KNOW OF AN AGENCY FOR SUCH A THING THAT WOULD BE GREAT TOO. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
What is the best website for learning this filipino language? It's kind of hard to find since it's not an official language and just a recognized one. My mom is a visayan, so I would love to learn the language. Best website gets 5 stars.
Sorry for the ignorant question because I know people are going to say "It's Filipino!" No shit... Not trying to be rude.. Just sayin'... Is there a difference between Filipino language and Tagalog language and is it true, from The Philippines being colonized by the United States, that they're second National/Official language is English, correct?
Mine's in the Filipino language and I am having a hard time understanding it. How can I change it back to english?

Does anyone know a website where i can get translation for filipino language?
Why are non-Tagalog Philippine languages categorized as "other languages" and are not admitted in Filipino categories? For example, in Palanca Awards, Cebuano category is separate from Filipino category. Why, isn't Cebuano a Filipino language, too? Or are we being fooled that Tagalog equates with Filipino and we prefer to call an apple an orange?
I live in France and I'm searching for a Koran in the Filipino language. Is there a website where it can easily be shipped to the country? Does it even exist?
