well im of filipino descent. im both an english and tagalog speaker. will it be a hard language to learn even though i know how to speak an asian language?

I'm not sure exactly what specifically I might want to read but I do want to read accounts of filipino americans who discuss how it was difficult socially to grow up in america and perhaps why they like or didn't like their upbringing with traditional filipino parents among other family conflicts that happen being 1st generation americans of filipino descent.
