Could someone teach me the basics of tagalog or a website that i can learn it easily for free? I'm a filipina born in the united states so the only language i know is english and a little bit of Japanese....My parents were born in the philipines and speak tagalog and another language from there.
They speak tagalog often when they're talking to eachother and they speak fluent english, so i understand a little bit of what they're saying. I want to actually learn the basics of the language so i may understand and "surprise" them by speaking some tagalog myself.
I live in washington state so basicly the only language i need to speak is english, but this is a self interest thing...
I want something easy to understand and learn for a preteen (i'm 12)...
I'm focusing more on learning Japanese though..//_-'
Thanks!

I'm Filipino and was born in the United States. I want to know what it is like to live in Singapore. Do I need to know how to speak the language? Are there many Filipinos there? Will the people there accept me being Filipino and an American?

Also, what do you like and dislike about Singapore?

I am more than half filipino but I was born in the united states so I don't know filipino fluently only a little. Can anyone give me websites where I can learn, please? Salamat po!

I'm actually Filipino but I was born in the United States. My first language was English and it has been my only language. My entire family speaks Tagalog except for me, and they always speak Tagalog to me. I am able to understand but I cannot pronounce the words or make a complete sentence. Is it possible for me to learn to speak Tagalog fluently? I am currently 14.
