I'm really curious. How good are you in reading people?
Here are 4 statements about me...only 2 are real (absolute truths); the other 2 are my fantasies (absolute fallacies).
Play along and guess which is which.....
1. I am 58 yrs. old, female and well-educated (AB Sociology, 1968, University of the Philippines; MA Social Pyschology, 1972, Stanford).
2. I love travelling...been to all the continents except Africa, Antartica and Australia.
3. I speak 4 languages...Pilipino, English, Spanish and French (not fluently).
4. I am trapped in the Y!A site and I'm desperately trying to get out.
Hiya! Okay, imma filipino, born in Australia, and the weird thing is that i can understand tagalog all the time.....but i can't speak it...... well not fluently anyways. =_= Is this normal? Or am i just weird? ;p
I'm trying to learn how to speak tagalog fluently, but i cant get the accent right.... >.< Any advice on how to improve?
Much appreciated ^_^
just curious... and yes I know about the American occupation there and everything, but we here in Australia don't say we speak english like the people in England. There is clearly a difference. I work with some Americans and Filipinos and there is a noticable difference. My Filipino collegues insist that they speak American-English and none of us here in the office have said a word otherwise. Just curious...
