Speak tagalog? Can u solve my Filipino text message mystery?
I am getting text spam from a country code (011)-639 number. I think it is from the Fillipines. It is in tagalog or something cant understand if anyone can translate that would be cool: Does anyone know how to stop this? Am I being charged?
Pare ngaym dalahn sa banko antipolo alas otso medya paland dto txt ako uli mmya
and the other:
Pare cel no ko bgo txt ko mmya wala pa c eilen dto antay ko pa
The number has tried calling me too and I havent answered. Any clues?
Thanks for all the help. I am in California don't know what to make of this other than a) scam or b) wrong number. From the sound of it, its a wrong number...I will let them know in english its the wrong number but how do you say it in Tagalog?

These were definitely mis-sent to you. The literal translations are:
1. "Friend, today will bring to bank in Antipolo ( a place in Metro Manila). It’s only 8:30 AM now (banks open at 9:00 AM). Will text you again later"
2. "Friend, my new cell number I will text to you later(.) Eilen is not yet here(. ) Awaiting
So if you have no business related to anyone in the Philippines, then these messages were not for you. I suggest not to bother answering; you might get other unsolicited messages. Unless of course you are the type who welcomes them.
Keep well.
okay, so the first one is: Dude, ill bring in Banko Antipolo at 8:30. ill text again later.
the second one : Dude, ill text you my new number later, eilen isnt here yet im still waiting for her.
yes, the text msg did come from the philippines as i read it..
here’s the translation:
1."hey man, the money will be deposited to the bank today at antipolo bank. it is only 8.30 am here, will text you again later."
2. "hey man, i have a new cell no. will text it to you later, im still waiting for eilen, she’s not yet here."
maybe you should tell him it’s a wrong number so that he will know. i think you’re not being charged unless you answer the call.
Philippine country code is 63. Moblie phone codes here start with a 9.
Pare ngaym dalahn sa banko antipolo alas otso medya paland dto txt ako uli mmya – Man, bring it now to Antipolo Bank. It’s only 8:30 here. I’ll text (SMS) you again later.
Pare cel no ko bgo txt ko mmya wala pa c eilen dto antay ko pa – Dude, I’ll text (SMS) you my new cellphone number later. Ellen isn’t here yet. I’m still waiting for her.
Are you being charged? Ask your wireless provider.
I think this person is texting someone with your number sequence and probably missed a number or two. Lots of Filipinos have friends abroad and they do text a lot. This sounds like someone with an important business updating his buddy abroad.
Pare ngaym dalahn sa banko antipolo alas otso medya paland dto txt ako uli mmya
>>>>ans:Dude you bring it at the bank of anitpolo(its a place here in the philippines) eight thirty is the time, i’ll text you later.<<<

The number has tried calling me too and I havent answered. Any clues?

1. Pare ngaym dalahn sa banko antipolo alas otso medya paland dto txt ako uli mmya
translation: Dude, I will bring ( it) today to Banko Antipolo (Antipolo Bank). It’s only 8:30 here. I’ll text you later….
2. Pare cel no ko bgo txt ko mmya wala pa c eilen dto antay ko pa
Dude, this is my new mobile phone number, I will send you text message later. Eilen is not yet around, am still waiting for her.
Calls coming from mobile phones are charged to the caller. You need not worry.
Hi,
The first message translates into:.
"Its going to be today/now that it will be brought to the bank of Antipolo.. its around 8 o’clock here. I’ll send you a text message later."
The second translates into.: (
"my cell number is new; I’ll send a text message later. Eilen is still not here and I’m waiting for her.
No, you are not being charged. for receiving the text. =)
It’s likely that he saved/copied a wrong number and thinks you are another person. You can pick up the call and tell him/her that you’ve got the wrong number. Don’t worry, most likely he understands english.
I don’t speak the language, but I recognize most of the words. You should call your cell phone company right away! Report this, and change your number. There are too many scams to take any chances. My friend payed her Sprint bill over the phone through a customer service rep that was in the Philippines. Two or three days later, someone was trying to get $2700 out of her account. It was traced back to some shipping company in the Philippines. They believe her info was sold by the Sprint rep to the criminals.
"pare" is the means of calling which is address to a man not necessrily to his co sponsor on a baptism but to any man, known or unknown to the caller. Here what it means: " Brother, now is the moment of bringing in Bank Antipolo. 8:30 o’clock yet here. Me will text you again by and by."
"Brother, my cellphone number before me will text by and by, Eilen is not here yet me waiting.
If you do not know this man it is better for you not to go to the bank where he is telling you and if the number of his cellphone is new to you, do not go. Something may get wrong waiting for you at the said place (Bank Antipolo) do not let him know the place where you are residing or staying. It is better for you not to mind him for your on good and welfare. OK?
It is better not to mind him if you do not know this person personally. something not good may happen.
The caller is inviting you to meet him in Bank Antipolo around 8:30.
Here is the meaning: "pare" or brother now , something is being brought to Bank Antipolo 8:30 o’clock only I will text you later" This is my cellphone number before I will text later Eileen is not yet here. I am waiting for her.
the first one means "dude ill bring (i guess the money) it to Bangko Antipolo. its only 8:30 here. ill send you another text message later."
the other one " dude i got a new cellphone number. ill text you later because eilen is not yet here. i have to wait for her."
dont worry man, its obvious it was sent to the wrong number…
*clumsy*
