The Philippine language is called Tagalog
Do you think that my girlfriend would like it if I learned Tagalog for her. I want to be able to talk to her in her own language and show her how much I care about her. She has lived in the States for over for years and speaks english fluently would this be a romantic thing to do?

That’s totally sweet… Of course she would like it. Even though a Filipina can speak fluently in English its really different when a Filipina encounters someone who speaks her own language. Go for it!
There are various websites that can help you learn some basic Filipino. There are also some certain software, such as the Rosetta Stone(though it may cost you some money) that can help you learn even better. Just try to google or search your bookstores for some Filipino how-to books or stuff.

definitely yes,that would be sweet..im a filipina girl and i had friends living in the states and they are all asking me to teach them to speak tagalog..its quiet hard and funny at first but when you able to speak to filipinos youll learn fast..goodluck and that’s so sweet of you:)

I think it’s very sweet. I’ll tell you about me. I’m argentinian and my boyfriend’s danish. I’ve always been interested in languages, and i really like to learn danish, and he helps me a lot. I know danish is only spoken in denmark and greenland, but i only do it to talk to him in his language, and the best part is when my boyfriend says his heart melts everytime i speak danish to him.And the same happens to me everytime he says something nice in Spanish. I think it would be nice =)
