You might be able to understand the words or the writings of your grandparents.

You might be able to read the literature that is historical for your culture.

You might be able to make sense of government documents, decrees, and official papers that are old.

Of course, you can pretend those things have no value.

1. it will be a trace back to where you came from
2. ancient filipino words are part of your culture
3. it keeps you in track of your past as a country and its present
