Filipino spouse, do you teach and talk to your children (multiracial) with your native language (Tagalog) or dialect? If not, why?

With the rate of growth the Philippine population, the Filipino language would never be extinct.
Interracial marriage is only a little fraction of the whole 90 Million population. No matter if their multiracial children opted to use English as their mode of communication, it cannot match the massive number of growing Filipino families in the Philippines. I’m certain that a thousand years from now, Filipino language would still be spoken by our great great great granchildren.
Worry no more. Your fears of Filipino language being extict is farfetched.
Your question does not apply to me though I have many relatives who have married foreigners and have taught their children their own languages.
When their children were small, they taught them Bisaya or Tagalog. Their reasons? Kids will later on adopt the language of the country they are residing. It is better to be bi-lingual or, at least, know the dialects of the parents.

In my case, yes. My sons dont speak any local dialect (my hubby is Filipino and we are staying in Phillipne). But they learns a bit at school

yes my mom spoke to us in tagalog while growing up and she still does
i remember watching filipino shows with her especially her lame telenovelas…so corny
tapos iiyakan pa nya yung shows nya
minsan nga nasampal ako dahil nadala sa isang show nya
kaiinis nga….pero natawa ako

I am married to a European guy from Romania. When my child speaks to his Dad, they spoke Romanian to each other and I speak Tagalog to him as well although English is being used when communicating someone outside the household.
In a way, I introduced my child the Spanish language by reading some story books. It’s to his advantage someday.
