There are 3 kinds of Filipino Languages
Tagalog (more spoken)(national language)
Ilokano
Visayan (commonly used in the southern part)
They speak Tagalog
and a few other languages.
Filipino is the official language of the Philippines and while it is heavily based on Tagalog it is not the same. For one, it replaces a good chunk of Tagalog words with words adopted from other languages, namely Spanish and English and also from other major dialects in the Philippines.
