How many Filipinos want Yahoo Answers Philippines to be in Tagalog instead of English?
All the other countries have Yahoo Answers in there native language so why is English used for Yahoo Answers Philippines? Only 40 percent speak basic English while over 90 percent speak Tagalog.
Hey Lezah that's exactly why they should have in Tagalog there is no reason your country cannot teach keyboarding in Tagalog that's cultural genocide.

That will be great, so the foreigners in this site cannot join us here. Wr can make fun of them with them understanding it. PC, mag-aral ka na ng Tagalog.
OO you are right but in the end Filams and Americans could not put us down.

Too old to do that.
Writing (or typing) and speaking are two different things. 90% may be able to speak Tagalog, but English is easier to type. The qwerty keyboard lends itself to English. Also, our typing lessons make use of English and so that’s what our fingers are used to. The words are certainly shorter than Tagalog. Translate this paragraph into Tagalog and it becomes longer.
Plus, practice makes perfect. Ask the millions of OFWs, professionals, office workers (written business communication is in English), call center agents, college, high school and elementary students— pretty much everyone. No harm in knowing a second language well, or being biligual.
But I guess in the end it’s all personal preference. All up to the writer. There’s no obligation to use either language exclusively.
oh please that would put us at an even more disadvantage to other countries! being able to speak or at least communicate in basic english is our only advantage to some other asian nations. we have tagalog tv and tagalog in schools in tagalog whatever. why should yahoo answers be in tagalog as well?
and where’d you get the idea that 90% of filipinos speak tagalog? i grow up in the philippines but no way do i speak tagalog. i understand it perfectly though…
i definitely do not want yahoo answers philippines to be in filipino
