Visit the official website for Copyrights and read the submission process. Download and complete the application and pay the necessary fees.
Before you submit your song to the copyright office, you can do the following for now to help protect your original work before that "somebody" gets ahead of yours:
1. Print out the lyrics to your song including your legal name, address, and date.
2. Stamp and mail the document through the Post Office designated to your home address.
3. When you receive the document by mail, do not open it. Keep it in a safe place. The Post Office date mark will serve as legal proof of your original work in the event you need to go to court and show evidence.
Good luck!
