The Philippine language is called Tagalog
Ive never even learned that (italian) language yet, but when I talk to my friends in Filipino, my friend (she speaks Italian) says that she could understand some of our sentences.

he’s right! there are many spanish word in Filippino but that’s it.it’s very difficult to learn it when your mother language is not from latin, but for thoose who know romance languages, like spanish, it’s quite easy
Filipini has many words from Spanish, which is similar to Italian.
So got to wikipedia and type "List of Tagalog Loan Words"
You see, Tagalog contains words from spanish. And Spanish and italian are pretty much alike.
Some people mistake me as a Spanish speaker alot. Because I’m Mexican, but my parents and grandparents were born in the Philippines so I don’t speak spanish .
But I believe it would be easy for me, because I know tagalog.
Tagalog is has romance vocabulary. But austronesian grammar.
Tagalog though is not a dialect of Spanish, but has majority spanish loanwords. As it says in wikipedia.
