Not because, she doesn’t look like Filipino it doesn’t means she’s not. Filipino who sees me they are confused what country i came from because I not tan in color. My parents were not tan either so as the rest of my families but I was born and race in the Philippines. Her ancestor could be Chinese but she could be born in the Philippine.
if she is tan skin and mischievous.
it really doesnt matter how a person looks for them be from a certain country for example a middle eastern could have blond hair and light skin naturally and might be mistaken for a europpean
Maybe she is ethnically Chinese, but grew up in the Philippines for some reason. It could happen.
They talk like a telegram, all kidding asside, they are a beautiful bunch of people I’m proud to share the planet with. And do try some lumpia! It’s yummie!
you can ask them
Nowadays it is really hard to tell who or what people are just with their looks. The world had turn in a more bi racial marriage, which is a ood thing to the world. My son is as white as any caucasian you will in USA, UK, etc but he is half Filipino and no one can tell until he speaks.
Dont get confused, just appreciate this wonderful world we live in
HAPPY NEW YEAR
In Philippines there got mixed already, and its hard to recognize the Filipinos these days….!!!!*
you can tell through their accent, I guess.
some pinoys do look chinese, malays, spanish, indians, etc. bec. of mixed marriage. don’t be confused its only natural.
you can never tell for sure. even Filipinos themselves have difficulty recognizing them. the reason – Filipinos are a mix of various races brought about by colonization of different countries from all over. also, with the 7,100+ islands of the Philippines, even the language wouldn’t be enough basis to identify which one is which because of several dialects of each of the country’s regions. anyway, if you’d really like to know, there’s no problem asking them =)
Talking AT versus talking TO…
To talk AT someone is to talk to someone in a demeaning way. It has a negative connotation.
Unless you want to demean or belittle someone, you should always talk TO someone, not AT someone.
what difference does it make?! Chinese , Filipino, who cares. Just be glad we live in a country that all these different beautiful nationalities and languages come together!!!!!
By the way, I am Italian, German and Spanish and I speak a bit of Tagalog…
You shouldn’t get confused….
How to tell if one person is a Filipino and the other one Chinese…
Physically, if he/she smells good. If he/she does, he/she must look clean. Oh a lot of Chinese people in the mall or even in grocery stores, they smell OK but their hair stands up even without a gel. I guess they just wake up and never comb their hair.
Manners. Chinese from China are very noisy. I remember taking public transit before and believe it or not, one chinese in the front side of the bus talks to another chinese at the very end of the bus.
Attitude. If you’re looking on something and one chinese says excuse and takes your spot forever, he/she is from china. Last Boxing day, I was looking at a nice dress pants for like 2 minutes and this chinese said excuse me. I thought she is just passing by and believe it or not, she takes the very spot that I was in.
Driving. Oh they’re just rude on the road. They don’t know how to drive a car. And when they got into an accident, they would pretend they don’t speak English.
Oh and a lot more ….
if you’ll base accrdng to looks, you’ll be deceived. because filipino per se is a mixture of diff races.
