The Philippine language is called Tagalog
I would like to go visit the Philippines and meet my cousins there but I don't want to not understand them when they are talking. Help?????

I don’t think you should worry. In the Philippines most people understand you when you are speaking English. But the English speaking might be kinda "broken" or taglish (Tagalog/English). You should be fine but if you really want to know a little of the basic you should go to the bookstore and buy one of those Filipino/English dictionary. It’s just a little book on some basic conversational lines like "how are you", "What is you name", and they get into other things like how to ask for some thing like directions or health terms. I’m Filipino and it takes patients and time to learn this language as well as other laguages. But I just learn by listening. When I was young everyone around me spoke in tagalog so I just listen and sometimes my parents speak in tagalog when they are made at me…lol. But Tagalog is pretty fun to learn and not as hard to read. so good luck.
Well, start asking your family how to speak in tagalog. You will not learn it in one day. It will take you years to learn it. Good luck.
i am philipino and my grandparents speak it but you can understand what they are saying just by how they say it anyway go to http://www.dictionary.com and then go to translator and pick philipino to english or visversey

my boyfriend mike is as american as apple pie and even though i cling to him like the sponge tha I am, Mike says you only need to know english.
So i do what i am told because i am as american as apple pie to.
Mike says i dont have to think for myself now, he will do that for me. I love it when he treats me this way like his little mindless pet and takes care of me.
I´d say start askin ppl who knows the language, (I suggest asking for the bad words first!!), yes it takes awhile to learn the whole language itself but little can go a long way!
