Books about Philippines in WW2?
Hi there, does anybody know of any good books that I could use to learn about the Pilipino involvement in WW2? I know the basics.... Japanese occupation, Bataan Death March, Battle for Manila. But I was wondering if there is anything I could use to enhance my vision of their history. The only problem I know is that many of the books that do cover Philippine actions in WW2 are mainly written by British and American historians. I'd rather learn about the lives of actual Pilipinos through all of this. Any suggestions please ?? Also, please take a look at another question that I posted yesterday about schooling in the Philippines. Thanks ![]()

Try these:
I saw the fall of the Philippines by Carlos P. Romulo
Crusade in Asia; Philippine victory by Carlos P. Romulo
Most WW2 books on the philippines were written by americans sicne technically, the country was governed by the USA until right before the war!
Interesting question, i dont have an answer.. but maybe you can try to add "Manila, Second Most Destroyed City of WWII" on your basics..
u will get this book in india .( in delhi )
