According to this wiki entry http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanish_in_the_Philippines
Spanish will once again be an official Philippine language.
is this true or not?
Urm, curiousity hit and I was just wondering whether or not Filipinos really did have their own form of writing (which is now extinct).
I'm Filipino myself, and I found a chart on Google of symbols for Filipino. So was there, or was there not?
Mmm well, hello I am an Estonian girl, 15 years old, and luving in America but I wanted to know if tagalog is as n easy language to learn? I've already learned how to speak in visaya, and chavacano, but is tagalog easy to learn for a foreigner like me? Because it sounds like a pretty cool language.

What do women in the Philippines think about dating an American born Filipino Men?
I've heard that women in the Philippines like American men but what about the ones that are Filipino. I think that they would like us because we are Americanized, but at the same time have the same cultural values. But is it difficult to relate to another Filipino who doesn't even know how to speak tagalog?
Anyways, what do women in the Philippines think about dating an American born Filipino?
I'm Filipino and i have never been to the philippines (I was born in the US). I might go next year, but i'm scared about what it be like because I can't even speak the language.
I feel like I'm not a true filipino. My mom says they speak english over there, but you still have to know what they're saying.
Can anyone tell me about how your visit was? Were the people nice? And if you didn't know tagalog, was the trip still ok?
i want to convert it after in alibata script afterwards.
is there anyone who can speak tagalog willing to help me? I really don't know anything and need to start from the beginning...if anyone has lesson plans or can teach me the grammar and vocabularies, please contact me tingtinglaw@yahoo.com. thank you so much and i truly appreciate it!
Sorry i don't want to offend Filipino's I'm half Filipino myself.
what i don't understand is why do they keep speaking English?
I mean why? I visited 2 months ago and everybody seems to speak English, even among themselves. Its like some social status or something if you speak English. I really find it stupid (sorry). They seem to be ashamed of there own language.
I hate it...one more thing woman in the Philippines seems to drop their panties once they here i'm from Chicago. I mean I don't mind Filipina girls are HOT but aren't they belittling themselves, just because i'm half and i have white skin???
The Filipino in me just feels sad about this, even though I grew up here in US. I grew with Filipino culture eating mom's adobo... yummy =D
My tagalog is weak so what does-
"oo kapatid q sha bk8?"
-mean in this instance? Something about brother?
Thank you.
Why should filipinos learn spanish?
there is a news in newspaper that FILIPINO will be your secondary language.. is that true? im a filipino im so happy if you will say yes that you will be using FILIPINO as your seondary language in new zealand!
FILIPINO goes to international!
pls tell me if it is true or false.
thanks guys!
have anybody ever heard of dog do human talk to them? i swear my dog said some english words like food eat uhuh and even mama, i heard tagalog words too like po opo, inay, tatay, i think its cute!
how do you communicate with your dog? in human talk or the cries that the dog does?
my mom grew up speaking tagalog (a dialect of the filipino language--she can still speak it), but speaks english now (fluently and almost without an accent). i asked her one day if she thought in tagalog, and she realized that she did. i'm wondering if this is the same for the majority of people who grow up speaking a language other than english.
