I am from the USA but would like to learn how to cook filipino foods on my next trip there. I would preferably like to stay in the makati area but may go other places that are not too far from the beaten path of tourists. Thank you.

"I miss the love we used to have."
"Our love."
"Will you always find your way back to me?"
"Will you always find your way back to me like you said?"
"Is our love really gone?"

i need it for our book report..

I remember once I saw Russians speaking tagalog and theys sound better than the Americans, but now youtube removed it and I don't know why. When they speak tagalog it sounds way deeper.I know there is some Russians in Philippines, but how do the tourist sounds when they speak?

I'm looking for a good, entertaining book that is written in Tagalog. I can fully understand Tagalog when watching movies/TV/conversations, but I have a hard time speaking it. I figure reading would make me speak it more again.

Lapit mga kaibigan at makinig kayo
Ako'y may dala-dalang, balita galing sa bayan ko
Nais kong ipamahagi ang mga kwento
Ang mga pangyayaring nagaganap
Sa lupang pinangako
Or I think it may be Phillipine language.

Whenever Filipinos speak in english in normal street conversation, they always say that they are nosebleeding.
Maybe its because they are running out of english words to say... :) )

hmm, i just want to ask if you have any idea of where it came from?

One of my best friend's parents just had a stroke...she's feeling really bad about it, and I've consoled her a bit. I wanted to tell her mom some stuff too, but she only speaks tagalog. If anyone could translate this, I'd appreciate it.

/// I know how hard it is when one of your family members gets hurt. I really hope he gets better soon, and that it doesn't happen again.\\

And absolutely NO Google translate. That is BS right there, and it's not reliable.

I just got back from the Philippines for the first time. I was raised speaking only English and when I was in the Philippines I couldn't speak anything to cousins or relatives. So what would be best to learn first, or what language would help me the most when I'm in the Philippines?

Is there?

Then how am I supposed to write the three ages in Filipino?

What is meant by balangkas? is it a sort of summary? please cite example of balangkas

What is the Primary language Filipinos speak. I'm half filipino, & I'd like to learn the language. Is it Tagalog? or is there a different one?

Ok! kasi may naging BF si ate ko na blank ang pangalan so akala ko kayo po iyon...

thanks!

In conversation, party and the like they always talk about relationship. They ask who's your girlfriend or boyfriend. Even if you have a girl companion even if it is just your friend they will say to you who is that your girl friend they ask? And a lot of things about relationship.

My 6 year old son is filipino and needs to learn english. What is the best way to teach him? Is there a carttoon series?

For example, the Philippines originated a language called Filipino. There are dialects like Tagalog, Ilocano, Visayan and more. SO to make it clearer, how do they know what that word means and how they created the dialects.

for us filipinos, is it right to say that the native language is tagalog if born in manila while the national language is pilipino?

See, I need to learn Tagalog in 2 years. Right now, I only know a notebook page's worth of words... just the pronouns and some adjectives. and conjunctions / articles...

So, Any good tips ? Or just tell me basics to know about Tagalog.. possible to hold up a "good conversation" in Tagalog in 2 years?

but i don't no any Filipino last names and i don't any Vietnamese last names so can some one give a list of Filipino and Vietnamese last names

I have a few Filipino friends, and I always see them writing to eachother on facebook, and half of it is in english, and the other half isnt?

why is this? I understand in some cultures they don't have certain words for certain things.. but this stuff is like...
"awroigh awoir jenvmar spaghetti for dinner tuesday sqw2riohan awuirngk ?"

I know seem just like an ignorant american, but I'm genuinely curious.

are there really that many good looking filipino women? my uncle is married to a filipino woman and she looks pretty good. i hear people talk about filipinas about how they are the most pretty out of all the asian countries and i have to agree with the ones who looks really good but ive come to find out that the majority of them look kind of busted and 3rd world. so basically is it hard to find a really attractive filipino woman?

Which any of these do you think - Chinese or Korean or Japanese language will help the Filipinos in the future.
