I need it to get a tattoo of my kids names in my culture I just dont know that much about it
My parents speak tagalog all the time, and they've never taught me. I understand some of it, but I can't speak it.
I have been learning words and phrases, but I still can't carry on a conversation in Tagalog. The confusion lies in the format. In English, we use past, present and future tenses, so Tagalog has been hard for me to grasp. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm half Filipino(half Black ^.^) and I wanna learn Tagalog or Ilocano enough to understand it. I know some of the basics for Tagalog(almost nothing in Ilocano) but I want to at least understand it. My mom teaches me some but most of the time she just tells me to listen. I have a general understanding of spanish though.
