I'm wondering if there is a way to say "I Love You More?" in Tagalog? I know how to say I love you, but its a long standing joke between my Filipino boyfriend and I that he'll say "mahal kita" and i just say "love you more" in English as I don't speak Tagalog. I'd love to respond in Tagalog if possible. Thanks!

I have a (Filipino) student whose last name ends in "cillo," and his mom pronounces it "cillio." Is this a traditional pronunciation?
is she pulling my leg?
she was born and raised in Philippine. and she said she only speak english. i thought it was kinda odd.
hmm.. what advantage she'll gain by telling me that she only speak English. sounds like she's not proud to be a Filipino. i might be wrong
hmm.. she did say that she understands Tagalog but prefers to reply back in English. and she did mentioned that her family is well-off.

Is Tagalog a pleasant language to listen to?
i was just wondering.
and what does it sound like to teh non-tagalog-native speakers?
I was watching a show called ASAP, I noticed some of the hosts just never say in Tagalog?(or Filipino)
Such as Martin Nievera(not sure the his name)....
Or Gary V? most of time he speaks English also.
Do they actually speak Filipino?
or they just like speaking in English ?
Or English is for upscale Filipinos?
Thanks!
or Which language do they actually speak?
I think bao is in some part of the head, paypay is somewhere near the waist..
For my English report, I have to talk about the Filipino American sub-culture. If anyone can provide links of info about them that would be great. Please, do not send me biographies of people. I need factual information about them in general.
Or if you know something about Filipino Americans already, lemme kno!
Stuff that would be good to know about them are:
How they grow up with the American lifestyle
Their balance in accent
How parents treat them
Their aim on their careers
Their behavior
You get the idea. Any info can be good! Thanks.
I understand there are several dialects being spoken in the Philippines but why insist in Tagalog? What are your thoughts about these to all those who speak different dialects?
Where can you find what languages they offer on the website?
How would you say these lines in the beautiful Pilipino language? Not literally but more in the context of prose and poetry.
Someday you will cry like I cried for you
Someday you will miss me like I missed you
Someday you will need me like I needed you
Someday you'll love me and I won't love you.
Maraming salamat po. (Thank you very much.)

Good job, everyone! Keep them coming.
My friend, who was born in the US and is now in the Philippines, wants to learn to speak tagalog fluently. He said he has learned a bit just by speaking with other Filipinos, but wants to learn more. He wants to take classes, ideally in a classroom setting, with other non-tagalog speaking foreigners as classmates. Is there one in Quezon City or around that area?
This is going to be the title of our Pilipino club's Pilipino cultural night and we want to come off as professional as possible. Thanks!
i know! "Piyok" pertains the funny, awkward and sudden unexpected sound from your voice when you sing or talk too much!...but i wonder...what could be its English translation?...
